Rockwell makes one thing properly: a ribbed cotton tank top built to be trained in and worn afterwards.
Gym-first. Everywhere after.
Most gym clothing announces itself. Logos across the chest, synthetic sheen, a cut that only makes sense under a squat rack. It works for the hour you're training and looks out of place for the rest of the day.
We started from the opposite end. Build something that performs where it has to — shoulders free through an overhead press, an armhole that stays put under load, fabric heavy enough not to turn translucent by the end of a session — and then make sure it still looks like something you'd choose to wear out.
That's the whole brief. Gym-first essentials that don't look like gym clothes.
What we actually make
220 GSM ribbed cotton with 5% elastane. Five colours, XS to XL.
The weight is deliberate. Thin vests around 140–160 GSM go see-through when they're wet and lose their shape within a few washes. 220 GSM is the point where a vest stays opaque under sweat and still moves with you.
The rib is deliberate too. Ribbed cotton falls in a straight line down the torso instead of clinging in patches — the difference between a vest that flatters a trained frame and one that shrink-wraps it.
And the elastane is what lets a close-fitting vest move through a full range without riding up.
What we won't tell you
It's cotton. We're not going to tell you it wicks sweat like a running shirt, because it doesn't. Cotton absorbs sweat and holds it — that's a property, not a flaw, and it's why cotton feels better against skin and doesn't hold odour the way synthetics do.
For long cardio in peak humidity, a synthetic tee is the better tool. For weights, most of the year, in an Indian gym, this isn't.
We'd rather tell you where our product isn't the answer than sell you a claim the fabric can't support.
